Questions before a KPV offer

Chapters

Chapter I · Questions to bring

Questions that need a clear answer.

Take the questions that match your concern. Ask for plain words and keep the answers beside them.

Start with the problem being treated

  • What do you think is behind my concern?
  • What else needs to be checked before making a plan?
  • What other treatments fit this problem, and why?

Try to leave with the name of the problem or a clear account of what remains uncertain. A product name is not that account.

Ask where the evidence comes from

The study search on September 28, 2026 found no research giving KPV to people. [a]

  • Does the paper you are using study people, animals or cells?
  • How does it support this particular use?
  • What can the paper not tell us?

Ask to see the study. Ask the clinician to point out whether it tested people, animals or cells when explaining the result.

Ask what exactly is being proposed

FDA, the US medicine regulator, treats KPV and KPV acetate, a different chemical version of KPV, as separate ingredients. [a]

A batch is a group of product made together. Ask for documents about the product you would receive.

  • What is the full ingredient name: KPV, KPV acetate or something else?
  • Would I receive a cream, pill, shot or something else?
  • Which pharmacy would prepare the product and send it to me?
  • What tests were done on that batch?
  • Which current law or FDA rule allows this pharmacy to use this exact ingredient? Can you show me the official document and explain how it applies?

Ask how the plan would be reviewed

  • What would count as improvement in my concern?
  • How will we check what happens?
  • Who can answer my questions between appointments?
  • What is the plan if we do not proceed?

Request a written account of the proposed plan and any questions left open. There is no need to settle every point in the moment.
